Continuum Studio owners Johnnie and Paul have announced on their website that the spa has closed its doors for good after seven years in business in the northern stretch of Andersonville at 5671 N Clark. According to the owners, their waiting and retail area suffored water damage which ultimately led to the closure of the business after a few difficult years recently. The pair stated that after not receiving any income during the time that the landlord and insurance company inspected the issues it was not feasible for Continuum Studio to remain in business.
“Through the seven years we were open, we employed forty-seven outstanding individuals. We are so blessed to know them and thank them for their incredible talents; and for this we are very proud of our first endeavor into small business ownership,” they said on their website.
Continuum was a spa that provided services such as massages, facials, and hair removal. According to a handful of posts on Yelp it appears customers who purchased pre-paid packages or gift cards may be out of luck and money due to the closure.
